[タイ料理] Curry, Curry, Curry in Thai
Konbanwa !
Good evening !
Curry, one of the best popular dish in Thai. There are various kind of curry here. You can find curry everywhere, green curry, red curry, chicken curry, pork curry, fish curry, ... I tried curry for two days : southern curry and fish ball green curry. The common of these curry are hot and spicy, but good taste.
The first one I introduce is called "Gaeng Tai Pla", Thai southern curry, made by fish, curry powder, garlic, shrimp paste, and ... tons of chilli. My Thai collegue comes from southern of Thai, she introduce me about this dish yesterday, but not recommend me to eat because it's too hot. The image below is dried curry mixture, you can see a lot of chilli.
Normally, Thai people eat this kind of curry with noodles called "Khanom Chin" in dried way or make curry soup with bamboo, eggplant and other vegetables.
The second that I tried today is green fish ball curry, maybe it's called "Gaeng Khiaw Waan Luk Chin Pla". It includes fish ball, herbes, eggplant and also tons of red pepper.... T_T
This green curry seems less hot than "Gaeng Tai Pla", and sweeter due to coconut milk in soup. I would rather this green curry than the first curry just because I addict meat ball. Both of them are too spicy for the normal people, I can eat hot and spicy, but after all, my stomach suggest not eating so much spicy food.
