Special dishes in Tet holidays, テットの料理
Good evening!
今日私のお母さんはテットに先祖の崇拝のためにベトナム伝統的料理をしました。
Today, my mother is cooking some traditional dishes for ancestors worship in Tet holidays.
ベトナム家族は太陰暦の最終日に特別夕食「Tat Nien」があります、家族の全員はあの夕飯で一生に料理を食べますと間違いを告白しますと望みます。
In the last day of the year, Vietnamese people have a dinner called "tat nien" where all members of family can gather to enjoy the meals, confess which they did during the whole years and make best wishes for new year.
伝統的に北部家族の「Tat Nien」が料理の四つプレートと四つボウルあります。
Traditionally, northern family "tat nien" has 4 dishes and 4 bowls represented for "happiness and prosperity", but my family have moved to Ho Chi Minh City for a long time ago, so there will customize a little bit in kind of food.
ゆで鶏、豚肉ハム、牛肉ハムは「Tat Nien」に一般的です。今年、お母さんは「魚のソースで発酵させた牛肉シャンク」と「蒸し豚の脚」を料理しました。
This year, my mother prepared boiled chicken, pork sausage and beef sausage which are common in many Vietnamese families's "tat nien", and two special dishes for this years are "beef shank fermented with fish sauce" and "steamed pork leg" with secret recipe by my father :D

四つのボウルは「鶏肉とタケノコの煮物」、「豚肉のココナッツジュース煮」、「玄米スープ」、「肉詰めニガウリのスープ 」あります。
For the "bowls" we have northern bowls with "chicken with bamboo", "caramelized pork and eggs", "vermicelli soup" and one southern soup : "bitter mellon soup" which are signified that "unlucky and difficult will pass away and happy will come in a new year".

This is "bitter mellon soup" made by my mother:
牛肉ハムと豚肉ハムです。
And the overview of all dishes and bowls, it's not completely due to waiting for boiling chickend :D
