[タイ料理] Kuay Jab Nam Sai in China Town, Yaowarat Road
ミンです。
Last weekend, I went to Chinatown at Yaowarat road. That was a second time that I went there. There are a lot of Thai and Chinese dishes. Kuay Jab Nam Sai is one of Thai dish which is popular and famous here.
Kuay Jab Nam Sai, for me, it looks like "Teochew noodles" with the flat noodles and viscous broth, eatting with crispy pork or pork organs. This Kuay Jab in Thai doesn't have viscous broth, and taste seems slightly different, less chinese herbs, more green pepper, so it's hot and spicy, very suitable to eat in cold weather.
The last time I tried Kuay Jab Nam Sai in small restaurant at China Town, but I found that it had a bigger one which long queue of people was standing to wait, so I decided to go to that restaurant.
I don't know exactly the name of this restaurant, but it's located in the middle of China Town, in the left side coming from Hua Lamphong station.
A long wait queue here
But when you go alone, you might be have a little priority to go first, because the staff will always optimize customers by filling you up to single seat. This was my "Kuay Jab Nam Sai", I ordered only "pork organs" for that time.
The noodles of this has small different as I mentioned above, flat, rolled and soft noodles, the spicy broth and it's very hot. You can order "crispy pork" to mix or just only one topping, there is also boiled egg. The price is 50 baht for small, 100 baht for big bowl and 10 bath for one egg. 10 baht ~ 35円
