[タイ料理] Steamed rice dumpling for lunch
Good evening,
In this noon, I went around office and found this one. I thought it looks like "banh cuon" - バインクオン, steamed rice roll cake in Vietnam. Its name in Thai is Khao Kriab Pak Moh ( ข้าวเกรียบปากหม้อ)
But I was wrong when tasting, it's combination between steamed rice roll and dumpling. The dough is made by steamed rice, but the patching is more than "banh cuon". There are two types of patching : vegatable and meat. I had not eaten vegetable for a long days so I chose vegetable type. It's served with soya sauce. Although of the good price (35 baht) for lunch but for this time, I can not give a praise to this dish. Soya sauce is too sweet and dumplings are depressed. By the way, the good point is the attitude of shop owner, she's very nice and can speak english well to introduce about this food, what's its ingredients and taste. In the next time I will try meat dumpling, maybe it will better.
